Case Worker | Katungul Women’s Healing Centre (Identified* and Females Only*)
About the role
This is a full-time fixed term to 30 June 2026 position based in Bega, NSW with the Katungul Aboriginal Corporation Regional Health and Community Services. As a Case Worker you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and engagement services to Aboriginal women and their children. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of women and children who are on a healing journey to holistically address their safety, accommodation, health, wellbeing, cultural and other needs.
*This role is open to applicants who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander only. Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised in Section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).

What you’ll be doing
• Provide case management and support services to women and children including advocacy, referrals and liaison with other community organisations
• Organise and facilitate group activities, workshops and events that encourage participation and positive social interaction
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local services and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated, holistic support
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new initiatives, programs and strategies to address the evolving needs of the women and children
• Maintain detailed case notes, data collection and reporting to track progress and outcomes
What we’re looking for
• Certificate IV in Community Services or equivalent qualification
• Demonstrated experience in child and family services or a related community services role
• Strong understanding of the unique challenges facing Aboriginal women and children, and a commitment to supporting their wellbeing
• Demonstrated experience working to trauma-informed practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with diverse groups
• Creative problem-solving skills and a flexible, adaptable approach to meeting the evolving needs of the women and children
